IMAGE & IMAGINATION includes 38 works by Hawa’i’i artists in a variety of media. Yamanoha’s Passages monotype was selected for the exhibit. Visitors are invited to contemplate how art communicates to them and learn about artists’ inspirations and intentions. Perceptions, questions, and insights can be posted on the museum’s interactive wall.
For close to half a century now, the Art in Public Places Collection is recognized as one of the most significant collections of late twentieth and early twenty-first century art in Hawai’i.
The Image & Imagination exhibit continues this unique historical tradition, providing the public with the opportunity to view their art at the Hawai’i State Art Museum.
